About this study
UCLA is studying how a parent's mood and wellbeing may be related to everyday interactions with their baby. Your participation will help us develop future interventions that support positive health and development in young children.
All study activities are completed remotely from the comfort of your home — no in-person visits required. We'll ship easy-to-use recording devices directly to you with full support from our team.
You can receive up to $565 in compensation for your participation, depending on your completion of study assessments.
What does this study involve?
Participation includes assessments at 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months after delivery.
At 6 weeks
Complete online surveys about your health and wellbeing from the comfort of your home. (~50 min.)
At 3 months
Complete a weekend of passive, at-home recordings using wearable devices that we ship to your home. You’ll wear the devices while going about your normal routine with your baby.
At 6 months
Complete another weekend of at-home sensing, plus a brief, secure video call where you'll complete activities with your baby.
At 12 months
Complete a final set of online surveys about your child's development. (~25 min.)
